Christmas Card 2

Six weeks before Christmas and all through the house,

Not a creature was stirring, except my computer mouse.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

Long before St. Nick had planned to be there.

Connor Man is grown up and away at school,

We decorated early, breaking social rules.

The distraction to decorate is a cure for the blues,

The lights of five trees pop with bright hues.

Though Connor’s room is empty, it isn’t all that sad,

For Momma and Jeremy, there’s still fun to be had.

Less laundry and dishes fills Momma with joy,

But, Jeremy misses guitar time with that cool college boy.

We spoil and we pamper our sweet Lena-Belle,

That pup’s our second baby, so we hold up pretty well.

But, nothing can top the wonderful bliss,

Of Connor Man in the house, for he has been missed.

After finals on The Plains, that kid will be back,

The best Christmas is coming, that’s a fact.

A house full of love, laughter, and fun,

THIS IS THE REASON GOD GAVE US HIS SON!

Isaiah 9:6-7

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

We hope you enjoy a BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS

with a NEW YEAR in 2014 filled with HIS BEST in abundance and favor!

In His Love,

Jeremy, Susan, Connor, & Lena-Belle

Cute – I am sure after this semester at Auburn, Connor has learned to say bad things about my Buckeye’s and burn any OSU stuff he may still have 🙂 Have a great Christmas and good luck in your bowl game! Jerry Date: Tue, 17 Dec 2013 23:59:18 +0000 To: jerrysmith55@hotmail.com

Jerry – thank you for your comment! You are too funny! Actually, Connor and I still love the Buckeye’s – it was a win-win for AU whether Ohio State won or not – the season we had was an amazing miracle. Connor still has all of his Ohio State stuff, but I think he pulls for the Orange and Blue a little more now. He is loving his AU college experience! Blessings to you and your family during this Christmas Season – miss seeing you!
