2 Corinthians 4:7-9
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
Have you experienced a season in your life in which the harder you try, the harder things seem to become? The stress hits an all time high, you become emotionally, mentally, and physically drained. It’s like something and / or someone seems to suck the life right out of you. To persevere seems a comical impossibility. The domino effect plays out, and you simply want to throw your hands up in the air and collapse from exhaustion.
Wiped out! Depleted! Somethings gotta give!
As followers of Christ, we have HIS supernatural “extra mile” within us to provide that “second wind” needed to go on when we think we have nothing else to give. Our natural man is weary, yet, we can HOPE in the LORD, and our strength is renewed. (Isaiah 40:31)
Last week, as I was driving to the office, I was dreading the day. I was tired and groggy, and praying for an ounce of energy to kick in. At that moment, I was listening to the morning show of WDJC (Powerful Christian radio station here in Birmingham —“Love you Roxanne!” couldn’t resist the shout out)
Suddenly, resounding the airwaves –A message from God to me no doubt….
I’m sharing this now, because I thought it may give someone else a boost of confidence to speak to a mountain and boldly tell it to move. A mountain can be a number of things that add up; a mountain doesn’t have to be defined as one problem or issue in our lives. It may be a host of obstacles and struggles that pile up. As believers we can tell our mountain or mountains to crumble….
Because we are BELIEVERS — we can BELIEVE in HIS POWER in our lives.
