Don’t overlook the obvious here, friends. With God, one day is as good as a thousand years, a thousand years as a day. God isn’t late with his promise as some measure lateness. He is restraining himself on account of you, holding back the End because he doesn’t want anyone lost. He’s giving everyone space and time to change.
I find it amusing how our community, city, and state prepare for inclement weather. This weekend was complete chaos all over town as people stocked up on bread, milk, firewood, and some even invested in generators lest the power failed.
Isn’t it interesting, that the signs are all there of the returning Messiah? Wouldn’t it be sweet if all were in a panic about spreading the Good News? Our pastors are the meteorologists exclaiming the inevitable arrival of the ONE as white as snow.
If we knew for sure that His appearance would be this week, I can only imagine the buzz that would occur. One thing is certain — He will appear, in the twinkling of an eye.
Have you committed your life to the “BREAD OF LIFE?” Let’s stop drinking milk as babies, and feed on the solid food of Christ. Preparation is the key, and sharing the GOOD NEWS is crucial, for the POWER on earth will go out soon. It’s not a matter of IF but WHEN He will come back. When the time comes for the Son to appear, “inclement weather” will be an understatement for those left behind. Let’s help reduce those numbers.
Guide us to live our days in confident expectation of your Son’s return. Help us to recognize the time is near. May we number our days and share the GOOD NEWS of the Savior and His Beautiful Grace. It’s not a matter of IF but WHEN He will come. Thank you for loving us and giving your creation more time to prepare for His arrival.
